Membership is open to all water users who hold a water consent in Otago. This may be an individual or a company, depending on whether the consent is held through a private water right or via an irrigation company. In some cases, a water user may hold a private water right and still be part of an irrigation company. If you are a shareholder or member of an irrigation company or society that holds a water consent, the membership is held by that company or society.

Annual membership fee is the operation fee, invoiced on annual volume, which comes from the annual operational budget. Fees are reviewed each year at our AGM.

Affiliate members are members or shareholders of OWRUG member irrigation companies/societies.

No fee is payable for affiliate members.

Not eligible to vote as accounted for by members.

Friends of OWRUG is for individuals or businesses that support OWRUG and its water users, they are part of the community but are not irrigators.

Annual fee of support of $100. Not eligible to vote.
